To manage the outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Prime Minister announced travel restrictions that limit travel to Canada.
Health authorities also issued guidance and restrictions that limit our ability to process applications normally. Find out how these restrictions affect immigration, refugees, citizenship, and passport applications.
Effective January 15, 2022, 00:01 (EST), some foreign national travelers who were previously allowed to enter Canada without being fully vaccinated will now be required to be fully vaccinated in order to come to Canada.
There will also be changes to testing and quarantine exemptions for certain travelers, regardless of citizenship, entering Canada.
To limit the further spread of coronavirus in Canada, travel restrictions are in place across all border crossings.
