President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a message of condolence to the family of Umar Sanusi, the Deputy Comptroller of Customs (DCG), who died recently.
In a statement on Saturday, Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to Buhari on Media and Public Awareness, stated that Sanusi has left his hard work and dedication.
Buhari said Sanusi was an ethical officer who served the country until he retired in 2019 as the Deputy Comptroller of Customs.
President Buhari believes that Sanusi left a legacy of hard work, trustworthiness and honesty in government work, it is a reminder that people will be remembered for what they have done after we travel the world.
The President urged the family, friends and colleagues who mourned the deceased to honor him by ensuring that service to humanity remains at the center of their work.
He prayed to God to bless the deceased and comfort those who mourned.
Sanusi died on Saturday last week in a hospital in Abuja.
