The governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni, said that the executive and legislative branches must work hard in the future.
He stated this when he received the elected members of the Yobe State House of Assembly in a courtesy visit they paid him after receiving the certificate of victory from INEC last Wednesday.
Governor Buni, in a statement through his media assistant, Mamman Mohammed, thanked the members of parliament and said that the victory in the election that was concluded is a victory for the people of Yobe state as a whole.
“We must work hard in the future to improve the development of human capital”, he said.
According to him, before this can be achieved, the executive and legislative branches must be on the same path for the benefit of the state and its people.
“As a government, we will expand our activities to bring together all stakeholders and youth to get good results”, said Governor Buni.
A delegation of new parliamentarians led by Hon. Buba Kalalawa assured the Governor of their support and cooperation to move the state forward.
He said that the parliament will build on the balance between the two branches of government for the benefit of the people of the state.
“We are here to congratulate each other and always count on us for support and cooperation on any mission and program that will move Yobe state forward”, said Kalalawa.
